Add Call Manager

  1. Convert to Member, if needed.
         
    1. Go to the Control Panel,
    2. Go to the People Tab
    3. Select the People Manager
    4. Alternately go to People s on the Admin menu
    5. Enter their name
    6. Search
    7. Next to the Member's entry in the Maintain column select the "more options" icon.
    8. Convert to Member (member type = staff)
  2. Add the staff member as a coordinator  
    1. Control Panel 
    2. Go to the Village tab
    3. Go to Setup and select Administrators/Coordinators
    4. Alternately go to Administrators and Coordinators on the Admin menu
    5. Find a sample call manager.  Select the clipboard icon to the right of the name and enter the name of the new call manager in the popup window.  The assigned privileges  should look like what is on the bottom right,
  3. Add to call manager committee     
    1. Control Panel
    2. Go to the Village tab
    3. Select "Committees" under "Admin Functions"
    4. Alternately select "Committee Admin" from the Admin menu.
    5. Call Manager row, select the Members icon in the Maintain column
    6. "Add Member"      
    7. Select members name
    8. Save
  4. Add "Call Manager" as a service  provided  by the volunteer
    1. Control Panel
    2. Services Tab, under Setup (at the bottom)
    3. Click on "Service Providers" 
    4. Alternately, go to Service Provider on the Admin  menu.
    5. Click "Filter" to see the name of the new CM.
    6. Select member's Name and Services, if not there check the "Make a Member a Volunteer" button at the top of the Village tab
    7. Check "Call Manager"
  5. Add to Responsible Staffers List
    1. Control Panel
    2. Services tab, under Setup ()at the bottom)
    3. Click the  Responsible Staffers

6.  Make photo available in forums.

  1. Obtain a head shot (photo) of the new call manager and save the jpg or png file on your computer.
  2. Go to the control panel, People Tab
  3. In Admin functions select People Manager and search for the new call manager
  4. Alternately go to People on the Admin menu.
  5. Under maintain column, select the bio icon
  6. In the member's biography click on their picture
  7. At the bottom in the photo section click on "Select New Photo"
  8. Chose the file with their photograph and then select SAVE
  9. Back on the Member Profile page in the box labeled Forums select Forum General Preferences
  10. In Authoring Messages box check "Advanced - with Formatting Tools
  11. In the Identification Box check show picture and upload the file with the picture and check the box to apply this picture to all forums.  Then Save

7.  Make the CMs photo available in the committee listing

  1. From the Control Panel,
  2. Website Tab, Admin Functions
  3. Select Photos
  4. Alternately go to Photos on the Outreach menu.
  5. Select Add one Photo
  6. Chose the photo from your computer
  7. Add a tag "Call Manager", a title with the Call Manager's name and save
The procedures above are performed by the database administrator, generally from their own computer.  Once this is done, the new call manager's computer needs to be prepared and some initial familiarity with the system provided.  Follow the procedure to Set up a Call Manager's computer on the computer that they will be using as Call Manager.
